Conference Picks Playoff Weekend Bonanza

Conference Picks Playoff Weekend Bonanza

Last Week: 3-1 (1-1) golden gambles
Playoffs: 6-2 (3-1 gg)

The chiefs disappointed big time, with drops holding back a solid bend-but-don't-break defensive performance. The rest of the games went pretty much as we expected.

STEELERS (+6) over patriots (1 unit)
PATRIOTS (-2) over Steelers

Woof. This is an underrated matchup so far this week folks, with a lot of the early hype going towards the NFC matchup. The key for the patriots will obviously be stopping Le'veon bell, as they will bracket 84 and put Butler wide to the other side. I expect the steelers to try to attack them deep down both sidelines as well. The patriots got their playoffs stinker out of the way last week, so I am worried about this turning into a classic patriot blowout of the Steelers at Foxboro. This is not a Dick Lebeau defense that's guaranteed to get shredded by Brady, however. This defense has been holding its own and has impressed me the past few weeks. Either way, I think the patriots win straight up and that we are in for a treat. Tease this game to match the above lines, I’m giving you 2 options just in case the line shifts or you like teasers. James Harrison and bud dupree are easy x-factors for this one, and if Shazier is trying to cover Dion Lewis in space, I'll be watching. Patriots 22, Steelers 20.

FALCONS (-4) over my dackers

You all know what i've been doing here. The highest early week over/under I can remember, at 60.5, has the tweeter atwitter. It’s going to be rough sledding again for the pack, with Matty Ice's array of weapons and mastery of the Shanahan offense. Gunter is going to have to play better than last week and Micah Hyde will again need to come up with a few big plays. Even so, Mohommed Sanu and Taylor Gabriel, along with the dual threat running backs, promise to keep the defense's hands full. I expect the packers and falcons both to blitz, and I'm looking for the Packers edge rushers to have better games statistically than last week. Hopefully 42 is back and the dack use some 3 safety packages. 21 is going to have to play out of his mind if this one is gonna turn out well. Should be fun. Falcons 35, Packers 31.
